Worcester Angling Academy draws together a team of experienced and qualified angling coaches who are specially selected to promote and develop an interest in angling and provide support to tackle manufacturers, tackle shops and fishery owners.

Mark EacockAll Worcester Angling Academy coaches are experts in their chosen discipline of angling and have an in depth knowledge of the fisheries in their area. They can provide expert advice on all aspects of angling for both those new to the sport and those who are looking to brush up their technique and improve their catch rates. They can advise on the best places to fish, obtaining a licence, the right tackle and bait to use, bankside safety and other areas of this rewarding and exciting hobby.

Registered coaches have achieved the Sports Coach UK Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Angling, a standard which requires all coaches to have £5,000,000 Public Liability; CRB Registration to Enhanced Level; Appointed Persons First Aid training and Child Protection Certificate. They must also have gained a Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Angling approved by Sports Coach UK and be licensed with Fishcoach.org.

Worcester Angling Academy was founded by Mark Eacock (right), a fully qualified UKCC Tutor/Assessor/IV who is registered to provide training to the new Level I and Level II coaches. He is also the Centre Course Manager for all accredited and non-accredited courses being run by the Academy.
